Bonjour Madame!
First, let me just start off by saying that I'm so happy I decided to take French as my language many moons ago in 8th grade when we were selecting our classes. Over the past few years, I've learned so much about the French culture and traveling to Paris and Normandy (and England) has made me even crazier for travel. Although I wish I had French III last year, I'm glad I just got to take the class in general. I feel like I've definitely become really good at writing in French this semester. I'm confident that if I had to write a letter or something to somebody in France, they'd be able to understand me adequately. I also think I can speak French pretty well, but I wish we did a bit more speaking in class, in order to work on the accent. I think it was good we did a lot of grammar in this class, because I feel like I can communicate more effectively because I'm not just limited to the present tense. I do wish we did more culture stuff though. Culture is my favorite part of French class, and I think it would have been cool to learn more about how the French feel about other cultures, their own country, and more. I would have loved to learn more about the artistic side of France. Thankfully though, I was fortunate enough to have gone to France and experience the culture for myself. There's nothing like traveling and I was happy I got to go to France with my French teacher! I plan to study abroad some day, and I definitely want to go back to France. Thanks for everything you've done for me over the past few years Madame.
Sincerely,
Chelsea Korn
